Pontesbury Broadplace was opened on February 22nd 2007 by the local Member of Parliament, Daniel Kawczynski.
We were the 35th Broadplace in Shropshire sponsored and funded mainly by Heritage Lottery, BT, Shropshire Council as well as the European Union.
We now rely mainly on visitors with support from a few local organisations, see our Thanks page for more information.
Since then we have been open every Thursday from 2:00 to 7:45 except for the last full week of January, when the Pantomime is on, and the Thursday between Christmas and the New Year.
We have seven volunteers Robert, Su, Richard, Caroline, Bruce, Tom and Ruben, who have between them a wide range of experience in most digital matters.
We Charge £3 for a three hour session and usually can give one-to-one support, though if we are busy this may not be continuous.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available for a modest charge of 20p.
